Gary Lubin Co-Founder and Managing Director
Mr. Lubin (48 years of age) is the Managing Director of PCV and the prior Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer/Chief Information Officer of Merck Capital Ventures a $100 million VC fund investing in companies with technology based solutions for the pharmaceutical industry, and was responsible for the identification, review and management of investments.
Prior to that and during his 15 years at Merck, Mr. Lubin was Vice President, Merck-Medco e-Business where he started and ran this industry-leading client interfacing function, as well as Vice President, Merck-Medco Sales-Planning & Operations. Previously at Merck, he led the reengineering and redesign of the Company's worldwide core financial process. Other experiences include Financial Controller at a privately held company and manager at a Big Four public accounting firm.
Mr. Lubin is the recipient of the Irish Technology for Life Sciences award. He has been a featured speaker at numerous national and international conferences discussing topics that include business transformation and process redesign, as well as a guest lecturer at Rutgers University's Executive MBA program, University of the Sciences in Philadelphia's Graduate Program in Biopharmaceutical Business, and the University of Pennsylvania’s Executive Master’s in Technology Management.
Mr. Lubin is a licensed CPA and CITP, member of several boards including the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and an author of over thirty-five published software programs. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) with high honors at Washington University (St. Louis, Mo.) and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
